Organizations that promote strong culture of health cultivate a happier workforce which is actively engaged & are stronger emotionally.
Employees of organization with robust cultures of health are more likely to have control over their health than employees at organizations where health is of less priority. Employees in such organizations are happier as compared to those of weak health cultures.
Significant Steps towards robust culture of health are:
  1. Employer Support – Employer should support & prioritize workplace initiatives towards improving employee health.
  2. Health Activities during the day – Employer should aggressively encourage healthy activities during the workday - Walking and standing meetings, healthy food options in office, organizing wellness programs during work hours.
  3. Story Sharing Session – This step is quite motivational. Senior Executives can lead by Examples. They can share about their own health struggles or achievement stories.
  4. Recognition - Employee’s health progress should be recognized. Organizations should celebrate employees who have made significant health strides. HR can run competitions with considerable rewards to create excitement and induce participation.
  5. Manager Support – Immediate Manager’s support to his subordinates in achieving their health goals plays a crucial part.
